Lakeview is bordered by Diversey Parkway to the south, Irving Park Road to the north, Lake Michigan to the east and Ravenswood Avenue to the west and was originally incorporated as an Illinois township before being annexed to Chicago. Wrigleyville, part of Lakeview, is named after its proximity to Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. Southport is another neighborhood within Lakeview, and is centered along Southport Avenue. Roscoe Village is a small neighborhood just west of Lakeview and is bounded by Belmont Avenue, Addison Street, Ravenswood Street and the Chicago River; it is centerd along Roscoe Street. The Lakeview, Wrigleyville, Southport and Roscoe Village neighborhoods are very walkable and boast some the best places to eat, drink, shop and make your own
