Milwaukee best things to do, places to eat, hotels to stay at, and more…
A short 90 miles or quick 1.5 hour train ride north of Chicago lies Milwaukee, the post populous city in Wisconsin. When many people think of Milwaukee, beer comes to mind. This is no surprise as the 1850’s saw an influx of Germans, who set up most of the breweries in town. Many of the breweries have been long gone since Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley, but an abundance of microbreweries have sprung up in their place. With so many dynamic neighborhoods including Brewers’ Hill, Brady Street, Bay View, Walker’s Point, East Side and Fifth & Third Wards, many people liken Milwaukee to a miniature Chicago, with its vast Lake Michigan shoreline.
